This notice explains what personal data MEGITS Intelligent SL collects through megits.com, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. It covers this website only, not any system we build or operate for a client under a separate agreement.
MEGITS Intelligent SL, Calle Alejandro Dumas 17, 29004 Málaga, Spain. We are the data controller for the data described here. For anything relating to this notice, write to info@megits.com.
Our contact forms ask for your first and last name, email address and message. The longer form also asks for your phone number, company, company size, the service you are interested in, your timeline, and how and when you would like us to reply.
We use this to answer you and, if it leads somewhere, to discuss the work. The lawful basis is our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, and the steps taken at your request before entering a contract.
Submissions are stored in this website's database and sent by email to our own address. They are not added to any mailing list and are not used for automated sales sequences.
We store the email address you give us, on the basis of your consent. Every newsletter includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.
If you send us your CV, we use it only to assess your application in our recruitment processes. The legal basis is your consent. We keep your application for a maximum of one year, unless you ask us to delete it sooner.
If you buy something through this site we collect your name, email address, billing address, the tax number you give us where you give one, and the details of what you ordered. We need this to supply the product, to issue an invoice and to meet our tax and accounting obligations. The lawful basis is the performance of our contract with you, and our legal obligation to keep accounting records.
Your card details are entered on the payment provider's own form. We never see them and we never store them; we receive only the result of the payment and a reference for it.
Our web server keeps standard access logs, which include IP addresses, for security and troubleshooting. Cookies are covered in our Cookie Policy.
If you accept the analytics category in the cookie banner, Google Analytics records which pages you read and roughly where you are in the world. The lawful basis is your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time from the Cookie settings link at the foot of every page. Refuse, or ignore the banner, and no analytics cookie is set at all. We never connect this to anything you send us through a form.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for anyone else's marketing.
We may also disclose data where the law requires it.
This website, its database and its backups run on Amazon Web Services infrastructure in Ireland — the eu-west-1 region, in Dublin — which is inside the European Union and the European Economic Area. Email we send you is despatched from that same server.
If we ever use a service that processes personal data outside the EU, that transfer will rely on the safeguards the GDPR permits, such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Google Analytics (only if you accept analytics cookies) and Google Maps (only if you choose to load the map) are Google services, and Google may process data in the United States. Those transfers are covered by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which Google is certified.
Tell us to delete something sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.
Under the GDPR you may ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, ask us to restrict how we use it, object to our use of it, or ask for it in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.
Write to info@megits.com and we will respond within one month. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Spanish data protection authority, the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (aepd.es).
The site is served only over HTTPS — a request over plain HTTP is redirected before anything is sent — so what you type into a form is encrypted between your browser and our server. The database runs on the same private host as the website and is not reachable from the internet. Administrative access needs a named account and a password, and the server is patched on a schedule.
No system is perfect. If a breach ever affects your personal data and is likely to put you at risk, we will tell you, and we will notify the Agencia Española de Protección de Datos within the seventy-two hours the GDPR allows.
We do not make decisions about you by automated means, and we do not profile you. A person reads every enquiry that arrives.
No. Giving us your name, email address and message is neither a legal nor a contractual requirement, and nothing follows from declining. It is simply that without them we have no way to reply to you.
Our processing is not of a kind that requires a Data Protection Officer under Article 37 of the GDPR, and we have not appointed one. Questions about this notice reach the people responsible at info@megits.com.
This site is aimed at businesses and is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from them.
If we change this notice we will update the date at the top. Material changes will be made obvious on the page.
